Blues rookie goaltender Jordan Binnington has been named a finalist for the NHL's Calder Trophy.
The Calder Trophy is awarded to the most impressive rookie during the NHL season.
Binnington made his first career start on January 7, posting a 25-save shutout.
This season he went 24-5-1 with five shutouts to help take the Blues from a team with the fewest points in the league, to a team now playing the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Binnington's 24 wins and five shutouts were records for a Blues rookie goaltender. He also led the league with a 1.89 goals against averageg, and with fourth with a .927 save percentage.
Vancouver forward Elias Pettersson and Buffalo defenseman Rasmus Dahlin were also nominated for the Calder Trophy.
The Blues have one other Calder winner in their history, as defenseman Barret Jackman took home the award in 2003.
