ST. LOUIS — Alex Reyes will miss the rest of the 2018 season after undergoing surgery to re-attach a tendon in his arm, USA Today baseball writer Bob Nightengale reported Wednesday.
Reyes made his 2018 debut last week, but was placed on the DL the next day with an injury in his pitching arm. That DL stint will last the remainder of the season, Nightengale said in a tweet.
Reyes had Tommy John surgery in February of 2017 and missed the entire season. He was ranked as a top-10 prospect in the sport in 2016 and was in the top 20 before the 2018 season.
