ST. LOUIS – The Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association announced the 30 preliminary winners of the 2018 Heart and Hustle Award.
This year’s winner from the Cardinals is Harrison Bader. He’ll be recognized prior to an upcoming game.
The Heart and Hustle Award honors players who demonstrate a passion for the game of baseball and best embody the values, spirit and traditions of the game. It is also the only award in the MLB that is voted on by former players. One player from each Major League team is chosen by the committees based on their passion, desire and work ethic demonstrated both on and off the field.
The overall winner will be announced on November 8 for the 19th annual Legends for Youth Dinner in New York City.
