Report: Greg Holland signs short-term deal with Cardinals

ST. LOUIS — Former Kansas City Royals closer Greg Holland has signed a short-term contract with the Cardinals, various reports said Thursday.

Reporter Jon Heyman first broke the news just after 10 a.m. on Twitter. The deal, pending a physical, is worth $14 million over one year.

An official announcement is expected.
