ST. LOUIS — Mark your calendars, Adam Wainwright's album has a release date.
The legendary Cardinals pitcher posted on social media saying his album will be released on Feb. 23. In the meantime, fans can get a little taste with a single from the album.
"The song I wrote just for you @Cardinals fans called “Time to Fly” is out and available wherever you buy your music!" he said in the post.
The single is available on Apple Music, Spotify and YouTube.
Cardinals fans might recognize the song. It was one of the three songs he performed during his postgame concert during the Cardinals' final home series of the season.
Wainwright concluded his 19-year Cardinal career by earning his 200th win in his final start on Sept. 18.
The Cardinals celebrated Wainwright during the last weekend and homestand of the season with giveaways, themed tickets and a concert.
Wainwright hit the stage for a postgame concert with the musicians who joined him in his surprise National anthem performance on Opening Day. He performed three songs from his upcoming album, including "Time to Fly".
The Cardinals will kick off the 2024 season with a four-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers from March 28-31 and a three-game series against the San Diego Padres from April 1-4. The home opener will be against the Miami Marlins on April 4.
