Cardinals Game 5 set for 4:02 Wednesday afternoon

It all comes down to one game for the Cardinals and Braves.

ST. LOUIS — The St. Louis Cardinals scored a walk-off win Monday afternoon to force a winner-take-all Game 5 Wednesday, but they had to wait a few hours to figure out when that game would start.

When St. Louis native Max Scherzer and the Washington Nationals won Monday night, it forced a Game 5 in that series and locked the Cardinals start time in at 4:02 Wednesday afternoon.

The game will be a rematch of Game 2 starters Jack Flaherty and Mike Foltynewicz. Foltynewicz and the Braves got the better of the Flaherty and the Cardinals in a 3-0 win on Friday.

The Nationals and Dodgers will square off at Dodger Stadium at 7:37 to decide who else will advance to the National League Championship series.
