What is the Cardinals home opener lineup?

ST. LOUIS — Batter up! 

Hours before the home opener against the Miami Marlins, the St. Louis Cardinals have released their lineup. 

Lance Lynn will take the mound for the Redbirds and throw the first pitch at 3:15 p.m. In his first start of the 2024 season, he pitched four innings and allowed four hits, no earned runs and had five strikeouts. 

It will be Lynn's first start with the Cardinals at Busch Stadium since 2017.

Victor Scott II will make his Busch Stadium debut with his start in center field. Scott made the Opening Day roster following an injury to Dylan Carlson. Lars Nootbaar and Tommy Edman are also recovering from injuries and started their seasons on the injured list. 

The Cards will be without Willson Contreras and Brendan Donovan on Thursday, according to MLB.com writer John Denton.
