ST. LOUIS — Two St. Louis natives and champions will throw out the first pitch at the St. Louis Cardinals game on Sunday.

Boston Celtics Jayson Tatum and Florida Panthers Matthew Tkachuk will throw out honorary first pitches ahead of Sunday's Cardinals game against the Los Angeles Dodgers at 1:15 p.m.

Tatum won the NBA Championship with the Celtics and Tkachuk won the Stanley Cup with the Panthers this year. Both are St. Louis natives and former high school classmates at Chaminade.

Tkachuk brought the Stanley Cup to several places around the St. Louis area in July. He stopped at OB Clark's, the Brentwood fire and police departments, the St. Louis Children's Hospital and more.

Tatum recently represented Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics. He won his second gold medal with the team.

Gates will open at 11:15 a.m. at Busch Stadium on Sunday and tickets are still available for the game.
