A volleyball hangs over the net.

Joe Kosciw is taking over as men's volleyball head coach for Lindenwood University. Kosciw is the fourth head coach in the history of the program, and spent the previous four seasons as an assistant under former head coach Kris Dorn.

Kosciw is excited to take the reins of the program and use his knowledge to help the Lions exceed on and off the court.

Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Brad Wachler is excited to bring on a young, fantastic leader for the head coach position.

In Kosciw's first season as a Lindenwood assistant coach, 2014, Kosciw posted a 19-12 overall record, going 15-1 in regular season conference play and winning four matches in the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association. In 2015, he helped guide the Lions to their first MIVA Tournament win in the history of the program, also winning a record seven MIVA victories. Over the last two seasons, Kosciw served as primary recruiting coordinator, building a competitive culture and helping the novice squad improve.

Prior to Lindenwood, Kosciw played college volleyball under Dorn at Clarke University. He was a setter for four seasons, playing in 73 career matches. As team captain during his final two seasons, Kosciw led the Crusaders to a No. 2 ranking in the 2013 NAIA polls. Kosciw was also named 2013 MAMVIC East Setter of the Year. Kosciw sits at fourth all-time on the Clarke career assist totals with 1,845.
