Blues to wear bedazzled jerseys in honor of Ari Dougan

Dougan's family will drop the puck prior to Friday's game against the Los Angeles Kings.

ST. LOUIS — The Blues will sport special bedazzled jerseys during Friday's warm-ups as a tribute to the late Ari Dougan.

Dougan, the 11-year-old who joined Vladmir Tarasenko on the road last March, passed away earlier this month after an eight-year battle with cancer. As part of the Blues' continued honor of the 11-year-old, the team announced Thursday they will wear a one-of-a-kind purple, bedazzled jersey with her likeness in mind.

Beginning Friday, the bedazzled autographs will be autographed and auctioned online. Apart from bidding online, fans can also place bids by texting 'BLUES' to 52182. The auction ends Monday, December 4. All proceeds from the auction will benefit cancer research organizations.
