ST. LOUIS — Oskar Sundqvist is out for the season after a game injury Monday night.
The St. Louis Blues forward has a torn ACL in his right knee and will have season-ending surgery.
Sundqvist was injured in the second period of the game against the Vegas Golden Knights Monday.
The 30-year-old Swede will be reevaluated in six months.
“It’s an unfortunate injury for him and certainly we’re going to miss him while he’s out, but we’ve got guys in here capable of filling that role so guys are going to get more opportunity," Blues Head Coach Drew Bannister said.
Sundqvist has played in 71 games for the Blues this season. He had six goals, 15 assists and 32 penalty minutes.
