LAKE ST LOUIS, Mo. — Inside a labor and delivery room at SSM Health St. Joseph, Krystal and John Hopper are getting ready for the watch party of their lives.
“I'm just excited,” Krystal said.
The couple is eagerly waiting for their baby, and hoping for a Blues victory.
“She's gonna come,” John said. “She's our lucky charm for the game.”
The Hoppers said their daughter is already a fan, moving around her mom’s belly when they cheer on their team.
“When we've been screaming, yelling, she's been moving constantly,” Krystal said.
They’ve had a onesie made for baby to go home in. For the most part, they’ve also agreed on a name: Shayla Louise Hopper. John wants to add a second middle name.
“It's going to be Gloria if my wife approves,” John said.
“Maybe. Maybe,” Krystal replied.
The couple plans to watch the game inside their hospital room if Krystal is not in active labor.
“We're all gonna watch it,” Krystal said. “We're gonna have a big old party in here.”
“It would mean a lot to get my daughter and see the Blues win,” John said.
