Kevin Lisch will make his Olympic debut in Rio as a member of the Australian men’s basketball team, the club announced Sunday.
Lisch, a Belleville, Ill. native, became an Australian citizen on March 24, 2016. He will be a part of the 12-man roster competing for Australia’s first Olympic men’s basketball medal.

Lisch played for the Billikens from 2005 to 2009 and is the Billiken’s sixth-leading scorer with 1,687 career points. He was recently selected as the Saint Louis men’s basketball All-Century Team and Billiken Hall of Fame.
Lisch will be the first Billikens men’s basketball player to compete in the Olympics since Dick Boushka, who won a gold medal with Team USA in the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne, Australia.
