Little gymnasts use skills to become Ninja Warriors

A lot of us watch American Ninja Warrior, but few of us try to become one. We met a group of kids who are fit, full of energy, and ready to vie for a spot in the Ninja Challenge Finals.

They're six to eleven-year-old members of local gymnastics clubs.

Already, they're working up a sweat alongisde two-time Olympic medalist and American Ninja Warrier competitor Jon Horton.

Competitors Miles Avery and Drew Dreschel are also here -- cheering the budding ninjas on as they go through an obstacle course using top-notch gymnastics equipment.

It's an exciting time for both the professionals and the kids.

"It was hard and easy at the same time. It really felt like your stomach just dropped right before you're about to go," said one little ninja.

I was a little nervous but once I did it, I felt good that it was over," said another ninja.

After today's competition, only 30 will go on to compete in the finals on Sunday.
