WASHINGTON — The Paris Olympics are now halfway through the final week of competition, as Day 12 of the Games sets the stage for some of the remaining gold medals to be won.
The finals for women's speed climbing, one of the new events at the Olympics this year, are set for Wednesday morning. And the basketball competition nears its end as teams compete in the quarterfinals.
