ST. LOUIS — St. Louis is now on the path to the 2026 Olympic Winter Games.
On Monday, the St. Louis Sports Commission and Enterprise Center announced that they would be hosting the 2026 U.S. Figure Skating Championships. The multi-session event will run from Jan. 5-11, 2026.
The event will serve as the final qualifying event for U.S. Figure Skating ahead of the 2026 Olympic Games in Milan, Italy.
The last time the event was hosted in St. Louis was 2006, where women's singles skater Sasha Cohen and ice dancing duo Tanith Belbin and Benjamin Agosto took the top spots in their disciplines before winning silver medals in Turin, Italy. Other skating stars including Johnny Weir, Evan Lysacek and Ashley Wagner also competed.
“We are excited for the 2026 Prevagen U.S. Figure Skating Championships to return to St. Louis, exactly 20 years after the 2006 Olympic Team was named in this same city,” U.S. Figure Skating president and acting CEO Sam Auxier said in a press release.
Ticket information is not yet available. The St. Louis Sports Commission's website said that information will be available soon.
