ST. LOUIS — Rene Knott is in Paris, France, covering the Olympics for 5 On Your Side. He's also treating himself to the cuisine.
The Today In St. Louis anchor is known for enjoying hamburgers, cheeseburgers and pizza almost daily.
Rene isn't into all of the flavors of the French palette, but he did appreciate the French take on the burger.
"They’ve been great but a bit messy because of the sauces added," Rene said Monday morning. He has enjoyed the thick-cut French fries and the pizzas.
He had an incredible pizza at a café near the Louvre that he said he really enjoyed.
"The biggest tasty surprise I’ve had has been at breakfast, where I’ve been eating a small bowl of the pork and beans," Rene said. "The 1664 beer has been tasty, too."
