The Notes section is found in the in-app messenger, above where users can view their DMs. But now, some users' notes are turning gold! Here's why.

Instagram Notes are turning gold to celebrate the Paris Olympics! As athletes go for gold, Instagram users can cheer them along and receive their own gold flair on their posted notes.
However, not all notes turn gold. The social media platform only recognizes a few keywords that make them change.
What keywords can turn my Instagram Notes gold?
Olympic-related keywords will turn your notes gold. The most obvious of them all is using the word "gold" in your note, but there are a few more terms -- and even emojis -- that will work!
