ST. LOUIS — Saint Louis University High School's five-star recruit Ryan Wingo announced his college decision on Wednesday afternoon.
He will play at the University of Texas at Austin.
The wide receiver received offers from multiple schools including Mizzou, Georgia, Texas, Tennessee and Texas A&M.
"I kind of had a decision in my head and I have for a while a lot of people it was down to Missouri and Texas for sure," Wingo said. "It was a hard decision to take over Missouri, knowing as close to home. Be able to go play. But, you know, I had to do what's best for me."
The 2024 graduate is ranked as the No. 2 wide receiver and No. 5 prospect overall in the country, according to 24/7Sports. This season, he has nearly 500 receiving yards on 32 catches with four touchdowns. During the 2022-23 season, he had 41 catches for 785 yards, scoring 12 touchdowns.
The Wingo family has a long history at SLUH.
Ronnie Jr. went on to play football at the University of Arkansas and then in the National Football League for three years. Raymond played football at the University of Missouri.
Between the three, the trio has more than 7,000 yards and counting on the field as Jr. Bills.
