ST. LOUIS — St. Louis CITY SC will head to Kansas City, Kansas, for Match 2 in the best-of-three series in the first round of the 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs.
After falling 4-1 at CityPark in the team's first-ever playoff match, St. Louis heads to Children's Mercy Park for a do-or-die match in the best-of-three series.

What happened in Match 1?
On a cold and rainy night, St. Louis CITY SC fell 4-1 in the opening game of Round One at CityPark. Sporting KC opened the scoring with a goal in the 27th minute before St. Louis' Tim Parker tied it up a minute later.
Kansas City knocked in two other first-half goals from Rémi Walter in the 36th minute and Gadi Kinda in the 39th minute.
In the 61st minute, Dániel Sallói tapped in the final goal of the game, solidifying the win for Kansas City.
This was the first time CITY SC lost three in a row all season.

CITY SC will head to Kansas City, Kansas, for Match 2, which will kick off at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 5. This will be the fifth match between the two teams this season.
St. Louis had a 6-3-8 record on the road during the regular season, scoring 21 goals in those matches. Sporting KC posted a 9-3-6 record at home, earning 30 points in the regular season.
In Sporting KC's last match at home, it edged the San Jose Earthquakes 4-2 on penalties in the Wild Card Round of the MLS Cup Playoffs.
In St. Louis' first and only match at Children Mercy Park, the team lost 2-1. Overall, St. Louis has outscored Sporting KC 10-7 across four matches.

According to SeatGeek, tickets are still available for Match 2 at Children's Mercy Park.
Tickets range from $40 each in the general admission section to $203 for regular seating. Premium tickets at a higher price are also available.
