ST. LOUIS — St. Louis CITY SC will play the Sporting Kansas City in the first round of the Audi 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs.

Sporting Kansas City beat San Jose 4-2 in penalty kicks Wednesday night in the Western Conference Wild Card match.

Sporting Kansas City began their season with a 10-game winless streak before turning their season around and qualifying. The Earthquakes clinched a berth in the playoffs after winning 3-0 over Austin FC on Decision Day.
