ST. LOUIS — The Science Center has been named Friday among the top five in two categories of 10Best Readers' Choice awards.
The center finished as No. 3 in best free museum and No. 5 in best science museum this year, USA Today announced Friday morning.
This is the third year in a row that the center has been ranked among the top five in these award categories, according to a press release from the center. In 2023, it finished as No. 2 best free museum and No. 5 best science museum.
“It’s an honor to be recognized so highly and so consistently amongst our peers through these USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards,” Todd Bastean, center president and CEO, said.
The center’s mission is "to inspire everyone to be curious and engaged in science," and our colleagues "take great pride in presenting unique experiences for our guests inside our building and around our community."
Categories are announced every other Monday throughout the year. After the 10Best Awards nominates 20 subjects within each category, a panel of experts chooses which of them can enter the competition. Voters include readers and others who cast their vote once a day within a month on the 10Best website.
Those who still wish to vote can choose the center for this award once a day until Feb, 29 here.
