HERCULANEUM, Mo. — A crash closed all lanes northbound lanes of Interstate 55 near Herculaneum Tuesday morning.
The Missouri Department of Transportation said the crash happened before Route Z at about 7:40. MoDOT said the crash was expected to last until about 8:40. The shoulder was also closed.
As of 8:50, the crash was partially cleared, and some traffic was getting through.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said as many as six vehicles may be involved in the crash. Two people were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Traffic was being off the highway at McNutt to avoid the closure.
