JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. — Both directions of US-67 were closed Wednesday night after a fatal crash near Meyer Road in Jefferson County.
A spokesman for the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said the crash happened at around 7:45 when a car crossed the center line and hit at least one other car.
The spokesman said one person was killed in the crash and another person was rushed to the hospital.
The road was closed in both directions to investigate the crash. As of 8:40, both directions were still closed. The MoDOT traveler map said both directions would be closed until at least 10 p.m.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a semi-truck driving in the area of the closure overturned into a creek. The driver was injured.
