ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A woman was struck and killed on Interstate 70 early Tuesday morning, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
According to an MSHP crash report, the woman was struck by a truck at about 2:25 a.m. in an eastbound lane of I-70 near Interstate 270.
The crash report identified the woman as 36-year-old Robin Helm of St. Louis.
According to MSHP, a man was driving his 2018 Ram 4500 truck when he struck Helm.
MSHP Cpl. Dallas Thompson said the driver of the truck remained on the scene.
The crash report did not say why Helm was on the highway.
The eastbound lanes of the highway were closed while police conducted an investigation. The highway reopened before 5 a.m.
