3 closures you should know about this week in St. Charles County

The next phase of the Improve I-70 Project is in the works. Here's how it could affect your commute.

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. — The Improve Interstate 70 Project is "On The Move," and the second phase is happening now.

The Bryan Road overpass at I-70 in O'Fallon, Missouri, will be closed until the middle of August.

The Missouri Department of Transportation crews will also close the left lane on westbound I-70 between Wentzville Parkway and the Warren County line through overnight Wednesday, June 19.

Crews will close the left lane and right shoulder on westbound I-70 between the St. Charles County line and Route MM in Warrenton for one week starting on Thursday, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. each day.

These lane closures continue to be part of the biggest project in MoDOT history, with a budget of $2.8 billion.

Also, be aware of the big slowdowns on I-64 in the Lake St. Louis area during this construction. All of this work is adding a third lane to 200 miles of Interstate 70 from Wentzville to Blue Springs.
