ST. LOUIS — Drivers who use Interstate 70 express lanes to get into downtown St. Louis will need to make alternate plans starting Monday.
The Missouri Department of Transportation will close the express lanes as crews work on barriers needed for the construction of the Broadway Bridge over Interstate 44 and the ramp from the express lanes to Broadway.
The closure will begin at 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 16. To avoid the closure, MoDOT said drivers will need to use westbound I-44 into downtown.
The express lanes should reopen by 5 a.m. next Saturday, Oct. 21, according to MoDOT.
