BRIDGETON -- New traffic patterns are on the way for drivers along I-270 near I-70 and St. Charles Rock Road.
Bridge maintenance and repairs are slated to begin Tuesday night and continue for the next six weeks. Narrowed lanes along I-270 and up to two lane closures at night should be expected throughout the project.
Starting Friday, Sept. 25, lane closures will begin on St. Charles Rock Road under I-270. All lanes will be closed in one direction each night from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night.
Maintenance on southbound I-270's bridge will eliminate St. Charles Rock Road drivers' access beginning Wednesday, Sept. 30. The ramp is planned to be closed after 8 p.m. Sept. 30 for one month.
Drivers are encouraged to use westbound I-70 as their alternate route.
