ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — Drivers looking to avoid traffic in the St. Louis area next weekend should avoid the southbound lanes of Interstate 270 approaching Interstate 64, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation.

From June 28-30, crews will close two left lanes of southbound I-270 between Ladue Road and I-64 beginning 8 p.m. next Friday. The third left lane will close between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. next Friday and Saturday.

All lanes should reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, July 1.

Another closure was set to take place June 21-23, but the possibility of rain has canceled it. MoDOT has not announced a rescheduled date.

Roadwork crews will close up to three lanes of I-270 southbound between Ladue Road and I-64— near the exit to I-64's westbound and eastbound lanes, MoDOT said.

The more lane closures on I-270 South were set to take place June 21-23, but the possibility of rain has canceled it.

Crews were going to place a concrete overlay on parts of southbound I-270 over the ramps to I-64, according to MoDOT. Starting 8 p.m. Friday, crews would have closed the two right lanes of southbound I-270 between Ladue Road and I-64.

Between 10 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Sunday, crews would have closed a third lane and the ramp from Ladue Road to southbound I-270.

MoDOT has not announced a rescheduled date for the closure.
