ST. LOUIS — A person was ejected from a Jeep when their vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer on eastbound Interstate 44 in St. Louis County Wednesday morning.
The Missouri Department of Transportation said the crash happened at about 8:20 a.m. just before Interstate 270. A Missouri State Highway Patrol spokesman said the crash involved a Jeep and a tractor-trailer.
The spokesman said a person inside the Jeep was ejected from the vehicle in the crash. He did not know how significant the person's injuries were.
The crash caused a significant backup on I-44 which spanned back beyond 141. The crash was cleared at around 9 a.m. and traffic is back flowing.
