ST. LOUIS — A local restaurant that opened its doors in the Delmar Loop in 2011 just got ranked nationally for its St. Louis Lambert International Airport location.
Three Kings Public House was ranked as the top airport bar in the nation by USA Today readers and editors, beating out bars in Los Angeles, Phoenix and Atlanta.
"Three Kings in Terminal 2 of St. Louis Lambert International Airport serves local beers and a selection of wine and spirits alongside a menu of gourmet pub fare," USA Today reported. "The cozy atmosphere is sure to rejuvenate weary travelers."
It's not the first time Three Kings appeared on the yearly list. The Lambert location was ranked #2 on the same list in 2019, only being beaten by Whisky River at the Raleigh-Durham International Airport.
Three Kings opened its location inside the St. Louis airport in 2018, offering a more streamlined version of its other locations in Des Peres and South County.
"Speed is the driver at an airport restaurant,” co-owner Derek Deaver told St. Louis Magazine after the airport location opening. “In this type of setting, food can never come too soon. Having fewer menu items is the starting point.”
The restaurant's airport location offers a variety of appetizers, salads, smash burgers and sandwiches, along with a selection of local beers.
