St. Clair County Metrolink back to normal service operations Sunday after delays

Riders may experience residual delays as trains resume normal operations.

St. Clair County public transportation customers may experience up to an hour wait.

ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Mo. — On Sunday, Bi-State Development provided information about the MetroLink status of operation for St. Clair County public transportation customers. 

At about noon Sunday, Bi-State Development said MetroLink customers traveling in St. Clair County may experience up to 60-minute delays.

Riders were initially being transported by bus via MetroLink station shuttles between the Fairview Heights station and the Belleville station, the release said.

Station shuttles were also transporting passengers by bus between the Fairview Heights, Memorial Hospital, Swansea and Belleville MetroLink stations.

At about 1:45 p.m., MetroLink said service had resumed between the Fairview Heights and Belleville MetroLink stations and riders may experience residual delays as trains resume their normal schedules.

Bi-State Development is a local resource that serves the City of St. Louis and six adjacent Counties including Missouri’s Jefferson, St. Charles, and St. Louis Counties, and Illinois’ Madison, Monroe and St. Clair Counties.
