ST. LOUIS — Some really positive changes aimed at getting riders to their destinations sooner are here for MetroBus riders.
MetroBus has bolstered its service on approximately 17 different routes, which mostly involves increased frequency. These changes were made possible thanks to Metro Transit's recruiting, hiring and training of several new classes of MetroBus operators over the past months.
Chief Operating Officer Charles Stewart said, "With the success of recruitment efforts over the last year, we are now in a position to increase MetroBus service on several routes that had their frequency reduced during the pandemic."
They admitted that many transit agencies across the country had also been challenged with workforce shortages since the beginning of 2020, which makes this recovery and investment even more exciting for St. Louis.
