ST. LOUIS — The coldest air of the season will come through the area Friday night.
Temperatures will fall throughout the day in St. Louis as the cold front moves across the region. Expect morning rain with temperatures in the 50s around 7 a.m. Rain eases by 12 p.m., with 40s in metro St. Louis by noon.

You’ll want the jacket throughout the afternoon and evening, though you won’t need the umbrella at the end of the day. Forecast temperatures will be in the middle 40s for the afternoon, with windy and cloudy conditions.
Skies clear Friday evening, bringing a chill for Cardinals fans at Busch Stadium. Temperatures will be in the low to middle 40s.
Even colder overnight through Saturday morning, with widespread 30s in the forecast for our portion of Missouri and Illinois. Friday will be the coldest night since April 15 of this year, when we saw a low temperature of 31.
Temperatures will warm up toward 60 with sunny skies on Saturday. Expect warmer upper 60s on Sunday with more blue skies.
