IRON COUNTY, Mo. — A 66-year-old man died Monday afternoon after his car was swept away by floodwaters in Iron County.
According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the man's car was washed off County Road 42 at Knob Creed at around 2:15 p.m. when he tried to drive through flooding. The report said his car was found hours later about a half-mile downstream.
He was pronounced dead by the Iron County coroner at about 8 p.m.
No other information about the incident was provided.
