INTERACTIVE RADAR | Scattered storms tonight

Strong storms with brief heavy downpours, isolated large hail and damaging winds possible.

5 On Your Side is in Storm Alert through this evening with isolated storms developing west of St. Louis.

Some of the storms could form into line segments and bring torrential downpours and damaging winds between 40-60 mph.

The bulk of the storms will exit east of I-57 in Illinois after sunset, but a few showers and thunderstorms could linger into Wednesday where the cold front sets up. The best chance of showers and storms Wednesday will be south of St. Louis, and are not expected to be severe.

Thereafter, expect cooler weather in the 80s for the rest of the week after today with partly cloudy skies. Rain chances look fairly low for the rest of the week into the weekend.
