ST. LOUIS — Temperatures take a nose dive on Thursday, with the 90s from the last few days replaced with 70s in the afternoon.
A cold front moves through during the early morning hours for the bi-state. Aside from a light shower or sprinkle before 9 a.m., it is dry for our region.
Expect breezy conditions with morning clouds and some afternoon sun.
Prepare for a truly cool night in the St. Louis area. Temperatures will fall to near 50 in St. Louis metro by dawn. Many areas outside of the urban region will dip into the 40s.
Friday will be sunny with high temperatures in the 60s to around 70 degrees.
Saturday heats up to the middle and upper 70s with a chance for rain by evening. Rain clears early Sunday to cooler lower 70s.
No big-time heat is forecast into next week, with more 60s and 70s for the St. Louis area on Monday and beyond. Next week looks mostly dry until showers return on Thursday.
