ST. LOUIS — Multiple severe thunderstorm warnings were in effect Saturday. There were reports of large hail, high winds and heavy rain.

6:40 p.m.: I-170 reopened before Olive Boulevard.
Heavy damage was reported in Collinsville, Illinois.
Low water pressure was reported around the City of St. Louis. Sixth Ward Alderwoman Daniela Velázquez tweeted, "The Chain of Rocks water plant lost both its power sources earlier today. Thanks to Ameren for the reroute of power to restore operations. Water pressure should be improving and no boil advisory needed."
5:45 p.m.: St. Louis police say a tree fell on a car at Manchester and Chouteau avenues, killing a woman. Police were investigating the incident. Additional details were not immediately available.
5:30 p.m.: The Cardinals Game 1 of the doubleheader was expected to resume at 5:50 p.m.
"All fans with Game 1 tickets may also stay for Game 2 this evening if they choose to stay. Fans holding tickets for Game 2 will have priority for all ticketed seat locations for the conclusion of Game 1 and this evening’s Game 2," the Cardinals announced on Twitter.
5:25 p.m.: Ameren says 84,800 customers were without power in Illinois and 79,700 in Missouri.
5:15 p.m.: The severe thunderstorm watch was canceled for most of the Missouri side of the St. Louis area.
The tornado warning for the Nashville, Illinois was officially canceled.
Game 1 of the Cardinals doubleheader remained in a weather delay.
"Fans holding tickets for Game 2 will be admitted to the ballpark starting at 5:30 PM." the @Cardinals account tweeted.
5:10 p.m.: The threat of tornadoes decreased and moved further east.
4:55 p.m.: A tornado warning was issued for an area near Nashville, Illinois.
4:50 p.m.: Weather First Team chief meteorologist Scott Connell was monitoring the wind speeds around Nashville, Illinois. Severe thunderstorm warnings remained east of the St. Louis area.
4:45 p.m.: Strong winds toppled a tree onto a car on The Hill.
4:40 p.m.: There were multiple severe thunderstorm warnings for the St. Louis area as the storm moved west to east.
I-170 was closed before Olive Boulevard.
3:36 p.m.: The Cardinals game was delayed. It was scheduled to be a doubleheader after Friday's game was postponed. The second game is scheduled to start at 6:15 p.m.
2:10 p.m.: The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Dent, Phelps, Pulaski, Shannon, and Texas counties in Missouri until 2:45 p.m. If you're in this area, get inside away from windows and doors.
Noon: The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for parts of the 5 On Your Side viewing area until 9 p.m. Saturday, which means the area is now under a Storm Alert. The main threats are large hail and wind gusts of 60-70 mph.

There is an upside to all this, rain. While we could do without hail and wind, we certainly do need the rain. Storms will start to pick up after 2 p.m. and will roll on through the evening.
