ST. LOUIS — A tornado warnings in the 5 On Your Side viewing area have expired.
The radar indicated activity triggered the warning just after 7 a.m. for Iron, Madison and Reynolds counties. The warning in Madison County expired at around 7:55, the warning in Iron County expired at 7:45 and the Reynolds County warning expired at around 7:15.
Radar activity indicated the primary concern was spin up tornados.
Iron County Head Start delayed its start time to 8:45 due to the severe weather threat.
Students in the Fredericktown school district were sheltered during the storm. Intermediary and elementary school students sheltered at a FEMA shelter and preschoolers were moved to the shelter at the elementary school. School leaders said the students have since returned to class.
