ST. LOUIS — A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Gasconade County until 8:45 p.m. as storms move through the St. Louis area.

There is a better chance of storms developing during the evening. The most likely area of showers and storms appears to be from mid-Missouri into, or just south of, the metro St. Louis area. Some of the storms have the potential to produce gusty winds, hail and put down heavy rainfall. Any areas of heavy rain won't last long limiting any flooding threat.

Most of Thursday will be rain free. However, more showers and thunderstorms are possible by Friday.
