ST. LOUIS — There is a winter weather advisory for the St. Louis metro and much of the 5 On Your Side viewing area from 6 a.m. through 6 p.m. Monday. We are in Storm Alert through the afternoon.
Light snow will taper off during the early afternoon hours to just occasional snow showers. There will be bursts of slightly heavier snow. Otherwise expected less than 1 inch of additional snow accumulation.

Most of the snow will stick to grass, trees and elevated surfaces during the midday and afternoon hours.
Snow will completely end by 7 p.m.
Temps will be in the low to mid 20s by 5pm. Most areas will have 1 inch or less of snow on the ground. Some locations may see up to 2 or 2.5 inches of snow.
Expect a windy afternoon, too. Putting wind chills down into the teens by the end of the day.
It'll be dangerously cold Monday night, with lows in the teens. Our record low is 12° for Nov. 12th (Tuesday), a record set in 1911. With snow on the ground, we could reach or break that record.
Chilly 20s are forecast Tuesday with sunshine.
The weather looks quiet and dry through the weekend. A gradual warming trend is forecast the rest of the week. We’re above freezing Wednesday afternoon with some clouds around. We can expect 40s for Thursday through the weekend with some clouds around this weekend.
