Temps cool down after flash flood concerns Monday morning

High temperatures will only reach the upper 70s to around 80 degrees Monday.

ST. LOUIS—A flash flood warning has expired for the metro St. Louis area.

A cold front brought the showers, which will push out the heat wave we’ve had for the last several days and bring us a pleasant July weather pattern.

Showers and storms will be around through midday, followed by a cool and mostly cloudy afternoon in the region. High temperatures will only reach the upper 70s to around 80 degrees.

Skies clear Monday night and we cool off nicely to the lower 60s in most areas.

Dry, rain-free and low humidity weather is in the forecast for the rest of the week. Expect lower and middle 80s for daily temperatures from Tuesday through Friday. Mostly sunny weather is forecast each day.

Our weather turns a little warmer, but still dry, for the weekend. High temperatures will be in the upper 80s to around 90 degrees.
