ST. LOUIS — Scattered strong storms are developing this afternoon in the hot and humid air that has returned to St. Louis

The main threat with these storms is gusty winds although some hail is possible. Already reports of pea sized hail have come in from Warrenton and Cuba Missouri.
Thunderstorms will continue to develop this afternoon and move toward St. Louis.
During the evening, the greatest threat for stronger storms will shift east of the metro area.
The chance of rain and storms will decrease by late evening.
