Storm Alert | Scattered thunderstorms, some strong, are forecast through Thursday morning in the bi-state

Scattered thunderstorms will move through the region Wednesday evening.

ST. LOUIS — There is a risk of strong to severe thunderstorms in Missouri and southern Illinois later in the day Wednesday and Wednesday night.

Wednesday is warm and muggy again. Highs made it into the upper 80s. 


Scattered thunderstorms will move through the region Wednesday evening.

Some may produce damaging wind and large hail. There is an enhanced risk of severe weather according to the Storm Prediction Center.

Periods of dry weather are expected Wednesday evening as well. Severe weather threat ends Wednesday night with a cold front moving across the region.

Lingering showers are possible into Thursday, especially in the morning. Tomorrow will be cooler with sunshine returning late in the day.

The weather is fairly quiet for Friday and the weekend, with just a stray thunderstorm chance on late Saturday. High temperatures will be in the 80s.
