Rain through Tuesday with cooler temperatures

The severe weather threat has moved east for the day ahead

ST. LOUIS — Showers and thunderstorms moved through the Bi-state early Tuesday morning. Most of the severe weather stayed away from St. Louis and remained across the bootheel of Missouri. Through the day, rain will continue on and off with temperatures only in the lower 60s. Severe weather is not expected.

Rain should wrap up tonight with clouds clearing by early Wednesday morning. Rainfall totals will top out from a quarter of an inch to a little over 1 inch. Wednesday is expected to be a dry day with more spotty rain by Thursday.
