ST. LOUIS — One to three inches of much needed rainfall still looks likely with widespread showers and some thunder possible Monday night into Tuesday. Showers, downpours with embedded thunderstorms will develop overnight Monday, continue Tuesday and taper-off Tuesday night.

Flooding is unlikely since we have been so dry this Autumn. Ponding on roads and highways will be an issue, so the Weather First Team here at 5 On Your Side has Tuesday marked as a Weather Alert Day in Orange. The downpours will reduce the visibility on the roads, so do be careful.

The Weather First Team at 5 On Your Side indicates a Weather Alert Day when nuisance weather, inconvenient weather, non-life threatening weather is likely.

A cold front will approach by Monday night with gusty winds out ahead of the front. Clouds thicken up Monday evening with rain developing and downpours become likely into Tuesday with some thunder possible.
