To get started, one tip is to write down individual and family goals for decluttering spaces and put them up somewhere that you can keep track of them. It will serve as a reminder to everyone that this is the time to get rid of the old, and make way for new potential.
Another tip is to move your old clothes to one side of your closet, preferably towards the front, to remind you to wear them again. If you still are not wearing a particular outfit, then it's time to let go.
