Get seafood and more at Bevo Mill's new Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood & Bar

A new spot to score seafood and more has opened for business in the neighborhood. Read on for more details.

ST. LOUIS —

Craving seafood? You're in luck: a new business has opened its doors in the neighborhood. The fresh addition to Bevo Mill, called Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood & Bar, is located at 4680 Chippewa St.

Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood & Bar offers spicy Louisiana cuisine, such as catfish sliders and shrimp po'boys from the menu. Also among the menu items, look for 'pick your catch,' where you can select seafood such as crab, crawfish or mussels, then choose your sauce, like Cajun or garlic butter, and the amount of heat, from mild to fire. Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood & Bar has gotten off to a solid start thus far, with a 4-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp.

Mark P., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Nov. 9, wrote, 'We just stumbled into some major karma. We decided to try this new place in the neighborhood. As we entered we were asked if we were there for the Friends and Family Event.'

Yelper Scot K. added, “Soft open. Interior is casual and inviting. Trying a couple of their late dinners tonight. Appetizer of fried calamari. Generous portion served with a loose tartar sauce.'

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood & Bar is open from 11:30 a.m.–10 p.m. on Monday-Thursday and Sunday and 11:30 a.m.–11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
