The Blues will be getting a key piece of their strategic game back for Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final.
Ivan Barbashev will be back on the Blues' fourth line in the last game of the season.
Barbashev had to sit out in Game 6, while serving a suspension for a hit on Bruins' Marcus Johansson.
For Barbashev, sitting out in Game 6 was excruciating.
"It was hard. Even just sitting up top and watching the game hurts," Barbashev said. "You want to be there. Especially when the team has a chance to win the Stanley Cup. It just hurts. You want to be out there and help your team."
This entire Blues team has had no problem bouncing back from a tough loss in the postseason, and have been able to move on, treating each game as "just another game."
"That's what I've been doing the whole playoffs," Barbashev said. "Telling myself it's just another game. But tomorrow's game is winner take all."
Barbashev will get back to the fourth line with Oskar Sundqvist and Alex Steen. The Blues' fourth line has dished out some major damage this postseason, flying all over the ice and making a lot of hits.
Barbashev said he thinks the Blues' aggressive style won't result in killer penalties in Game 6, like they have at other points in this series.
"I don't think there's going to be a lot of penalties. Being physical is our style of hockey and I think it's the best way to play."
