EUREKA, Mo. — A man accused of robbing a Eureka bank was arrested Sunday. Police said the man had an "extensive criminal history."
John Berry, 57, was charged with felony stealing from a financial institution. Eureka police said the arrested was made with the help of the Real Time Crime Center and the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
Police said Berry is suspected of robbing the Commerce Bank on 203 East 5th Street on Saturday. Surveillance footage not only caught him on camera at the bank, but also driving through a neighborhood.
Police said Berry was arrested near his residence on South Broadway in St. Louis city, where evidence of a recent unsolved business burglary outside of Eureka's jurisdiction was found.
Berry was held at the St. Louis County Justice Center on a $100,000 bond.
